10,509 LumberJax fans filled the Rose Garden on Thursday night for the LumberJax first game in team history. The night consisted of a hard-fought, hard-hitting Exhibition Scrimmage that resulted in a 15-14 final in overtime.

The Jax gave Portland a taste of the future in the Rose Garden - unrelenting excitement on the field and in the stands. While music pumped the arena throughout the game, the players poured out their hearts, as many continue to fight for final roster spots. Following the game the tired, sweaty players signed autographs for approximately 2,000 fans on the turf.

In an effort to embrace the Portland community prior to the regular season, the LumberJax, Global Spectrum, and Ovations Food Services contributed efforts to give fans free admission to the game, free parking, $1 hot dogs and $1 sodas, and other drink specials. Poster calendars were free for all fans to use for the autographs including top LumberJax Brodie Merrill, Rich and Peter Morgan, Ryan Powell, Nick Schroeder, and others.

The next opportunity for the fans to witness the NEXT BIG THING at the Rose Garden is Saturday, January 21 at 7:30p against the Colorado Mammoth for the regular season home opener. Tickets to the LumberJax for each of the eight home games range from $10.00-$25.00, with additional VIP seating available. Deposits are now being accepted for season tickets starting at $90.00, by calling 503.797.9739.
