"Wake-Up" Books for Americans

The ongoing stream of never-ending news stories on everything from the Iraqi War, illegal immigration, to Islamic Terrorism and projected attacks in America, to the bickering, do-nothing Congress, to Pres. Bush’s neo-policies and lib-hate war against him leaves citizens increasingly cold to politics and the coming elections. In fact, the lackluster campaigns haven’t even begun to warm up yet the media plays on them to the hilt.
Today, I want to recommend some serious reading (a partial list) for Americans who just want to know what’s behind it all:
America Alone---The End of the World as we know it,” author Mark Steyn.
Steyn gives us a glimpse of our future through the demographics of rising and falling populations; particularly muslims and hispanics and how they are already affecting America---for the worst. One downfall: Steyn only mentions abortion in passing without recognizing its effect in decreasing reproduction of races and the murder of around 40 million potential citizens, just in America. Good index, but sources/footnotes lacking.
The Day of Islam---The Annihilation of America and the Western World,” author Paul L. Williams. Williams offers a “Who’s Who” of Islamic Terrorism and Jihad. Invaluable as a companion to reading and listening to news. He names terrorists, giving a historical bios; the potential Jihad goal of nuking America cities; and the connections from past and present.
For instance, an AP news brief: “An audio tape was released, Al-Qaida’s, No. 2, Ayman al-Zawahri (sic) threatened to retaliate against Britain for honoring novelist Salman Rushdie.”
Who is al-Zawahiri? Williams writes: “He first came to public attention in 1981 when he was charged as a conspirator in the assassination of Egyptian president Anwar Sadat...sentenced to three years in prison for illegal possession of weapons.” There is much more information on him and many others included in this book.
The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam---And the Crusades,” author Robert Spencer.
Indispensable in understanding history of Islam and the Crusades, this book gives citizens a educational background to work from to recognize 21st century world events caused through the Religion of Islam.
In Mortal Danger---The Battle for America’s Border and Security,” author Tom Tancredo, U.S. Congressman, Colorado.
Tancredo points us to the dangers of continuing our present policies, allowing the invasion of countless illegal aliens and porous open borders with very little security. In addition to Islamic Terrorism threatening our way of life, the consequences for such multicultural and unlawful policies in the midst of America’s identity crisis will result in the loss of any semblance to a democratic Republic, the Constitution, history and culture. All are in ‘mortal danger.’
The Late Great U.S.A.---The Coming Merger with Mexico and Canada,” Author Jerome R. Corsi, Ph.D, takes us on his investigation of what some call a ‘fake’ conspiracy theory. There is no doubt what is taking place---evidence is abundant. Informed Americans must educate their state legislators and federal congressional representatives and senators.
The Beast on the East River---The UN Threat to America’s Sovereignty and Security,” Author Nathan Tabor.
Last but not least, this book is recommended for its coverage of another threat to our U.S. sovereignty. Tabor gives the underlying agenda of the United Nations and how if we continue down this road, the effect of long-term support of the UN’s global domination plan will also result in domination of the U.S.A.
These book selections are only a few which citizens should read to educate themselves. You won’t learn these things from the daily news or from magazines. The importance of “preserving the permanent things” has disappeared in the midst of this many-pronged attack on America.
Our national strength, along with our world leader position, is being sapped and drained from a myriad of offensives in all areas of society, public life and government. This multi-pronged road can only result in fight or flight. We either stand against this tide of evil threatening the America we all grew up in; or we cede to our enemies for that is what they are, including ourselves.
We should dread the consequences if we continue on this cultural and societal course of consumption, entertainment and materialism (look in your garage) as mainstays of American life. If we think we can just continue down this road and that our grandchildren and future generations will have the same, if not better, we are living in a fantasy.
As long as we keep our heads in the sand, ignoring our softness and lack of individual responsibility to our America, then we deserve the consequences.
