Americans Must Act Now to Forcibly Remove Pres. Bush From Office
Okay, enough is enough. The overwhelming majority of Americans want this war to end and Bush responds by sending more troops to die there. The history of the Bush administration is one of arrogantly ignoring the desires of its citizens. This is keeping, of course, with the fact that his appointment to the office was done in the arrogant ignoring of the will of the majority by the Supreme Court. George W. Bush is out of control. He views himself not as an elected servant of the people, but rather as a dictator or emperor views himself. What the American people want is of no importance to this man. The American people made it quite clear that they did not want Bush to use his power to free a spoiled little criminal brat like himself from the rigors of a country club jail. Upon hearing this his decision was to leave the conviction intact but spare his butt buddy Scooter the humiliation of wearing convict orange.
George Bush is out of control. The spineless Democrats in Congress will not impeach him. That leaves Americans with only one choice. We no longer have any recourse. The damage that this man may do to this country cannot be known. What is known is that he is capable of anything. I honestly believe that given enough time, George W. Bush is capable of putting his finger on the button and blowing the world to smithereens. One thing is for certain. We cannot afford to wait around anymore and hope for the best. The best is behind us. What the future holds under George W. Bush can only be a deepening of the nightmare. It would be different if we had a Democratic leadership in Congress eager to show that they really are leaders and Republicans in Congress who put the interests of the American people ahead of the interests of their own party. But we don´t. Americans have been left at the mercy of a political process with a gaping hole in it. If we are given a President who thinks he doesn´t have to answer to the people and a Congress too afraid to do the job that needs to be done, we are stuck.
Pres. Bush needs to be removed from office. One way or the other. The one way is impeachment. We won´t get that. So it is now time for the other. The Scooter Libby case is meaningless when compared to the arrogant ignoring of what Americans want in other cases. But at this point in the process the Scooter Libby case becomes very telling. We have a lame duck President who knows he will go down in history as the worst of all time and is so uninterested in that possibility that he is willing to essentially commit to an action that 72% of Americans have said they don´t want to happen. In other words, we have a man in the White House with nothing to lose. Most Americans don´t to our troops sent to invade Iran. Most Americans don´t want to see oil drilling off the coast of our beaches. Take a good long look at any poll where Americans are in tremendous agreement and decide if you really want to put that subject at risk. Because Pres. Bush doesn´t care what you think about anything. From what can be gathered, the only person beside himself that Pres. Bush cares about is Dick Cheney. If Scooter Libby had been this close to jail in 2004 you can bet your ass that he would be going to jail. But Bush knows he no longer has to play politics even with his own party. He can do anything he wants and he knows he can get away with it.
Anyone in their right is very afraid right now thinking that Bush feels he can get away with anything he wants. We need to save this country from Bush and from the spineless, gutless wonders in the Democratic Party. Right now, there is no one who can save America but Americans. The time for action is at hand. To delay any longer is to put every one of us at risk for whatever new delusions are swimming around inside Bush´s head.
