From Neverland Ranch To Bahrain

Sometimes when a few persons in our midst are deeply affected by a negative event in their lives, they may want to remove themselves from the immediate surroundings in which that event may have taken place.
And that event may be anything ranging from being hurt by a trusted loved one to being criminally violated by a stranger, or even some one those kind individuals were attempting to help, through acts of kindness.
And sometimes again, there are certain acts that can land even one of the world’s most famous celebrities in a situation from which he/she feels he has to distance himself/herself from as soon as one is free enough to do so.
Take, for example, the recently concluded Michael Jackson case in which he, the ‘King Of Pop’ was accused and tried for child molestation/youth corruption charges, by his accuser.
As fans of the superstar waited for the final result of the case, the verdict, his true fans hoped with bated breath that the person whom they looked up to, would emerge victorious.
And he did, but did the ordeal Michael Jackson have to endure for the duration of the case, seem like a bit much for the celebrity who was reaching out to help others with acts of kindness?
Did he feel as though he had to seek escape from that place he once called home, his Neverland Ranch and go to a place where he feels more distant from the prying eyes of his immediate surroundings, that place? The Middle Eastern, island nation of Bahrain.
According to a recent news report, Michael Jackson received a summons for Jury Duty, in the area in which he lived, close to his Neverland Ranch.
But it was also noted later on, that since he, Michael Jackson no longer resided at his Neverland Ranch, but in a country far away in the Middle East, he was not required to fulfill that duty.
In the long run, one’s peace of mind is what is important, and if some one can afford the luxury of being able to uproot himself/herself from his/her immediate surroundings and move to another place for his/her own sense of well being, especially if it is beneficial to the person involved, then it is in his/her best interest.
Famous celebrity or not, maybe we can all learn from Michael Jackson’s experience and beware and be aware of some of those acts of kindness that we do, lest those acts should return to haunt us at some later date.
For what one naïve, sheltered individual may consider to be a simple act of kindness, could be mistaken for something more sinister by some one else.
And what follows could be a series of events that could leave one’s life spinning out of control until the case is at the end.
