The World of the Future ! ( Through My Eyes )
The free ways, and interstate roads as well as rural streets will be returned to nature. The family car will be replaced by an Electric Antigravity Flying car, which will use a vertical take off and landing pad. In the past storms, terrorist, and wars could cripple a City, or Country by knocking out the power grid. Not anymore, and No fossil fuels, or nuclear power will be used. just a clean green environment for us all.
How? With free Electric power.
What do we have more of here on earth then anything else? A product that you are probably not thinking of that could come out of this. The answer is Water, but most of it is salty. Even though the salt can be removed it cost too much for the most part. Free Energy would mean plenty of fresh water. The desert would Bloom, people would have a place to grow food. With plenty of water, and food most people don't have any reason to go to war. Plus an extra side product, gold, silver, copper, platinum, etc. from the distillation of the seawater, which would help pay for distillation plants.
No body listens to nuts, because people tend to think any one with a new idea that sounds impossible is nuts, those ideas will never be put in to use. Also there are those who may believe, but will find all kinds of negative reasons that the new idea should not be used. I do not know why it has to be, maybe it is human nature to find fault with anything new. There are always those who are quick to paint a bleak picture, of what they swear the technology is going to do to the world. They said the same thing about automation, computers and etc.
(1) They would ruin the economy
(2) Cause layoffs
(3) Lose of jobs
(4) Bring on depression
(5) Cause inflation
But it never happened, they created jobs increased our productivity and raised our economy. This plus GREED is what keeps us chained to Oil. People will not hesitate to commit murder to keep their riches flowing.
Suppose some one had a new way of generating electric that required no fuel, and it would mean the creating of new industries, and jobs, but would also mean the lose of other industries. Well not really the lose, more the conversion to the new use. An example say the batteries were no longer needed, but the manufactures of them could make the new product. There would still be a lose of profits from the old product that is no longer of use, and would have to be scraped.
Even though the device would mean no more dependency on fossil fuels, and an end to pollution from them. How long do you think the inventor would remain alive?
He would have all the people who are making millions from oil, products associated with oil burning, and electrical generating out for his blood. That is why you have not seen any such device on the market, not because it is not possible. When there is no more oil to burn, no other alternative fuel that has already been made to replace the oil, and the bucks it makes. When the earth is no longer able to sustain life as we have now, then you may see free electricity if it is not to late.
The United States Government complains about our dependence on foreign oil. We would no longer have to buy foreign oil, unless our own resources were insufficient. As we would still need oil for other products like plastics, textiles, medicines, oils, and grease for the wheels of industry, and cars. We have become very dependent on these products especially plastic. Just look around you and start counting how many things you see that are made out of plastic. Now I know all plastics do not come from oil. But if we do not find other source for these products, before the oil runs out we are not going to have them either.
Since millions of gallons of gas is used daily. If we did not have to use oil for gas, look how much more we would have for these other products. So the oil companies are not going out of business. Oil prices might drop, but it would mean cheaper plastic and other products. When prices go down people tend to buy more, which would still mean good profits for the oil company's.
Would you pay for gas if you did not have too?
The chief reason people give for not liking EV's is not enough range and the time it takes to charge. With an energy source that did not have to be charged, you would still have to buy the car, pay for the up keep, repairs, and for the device that produces the power.
You may be saying by now that is impossible there is no such device. But we already have one that is used right now, but it is not fully practical. That is solar cells, they require no fuel to produce electricity, the sun is their fuel source, but they only work in the day time in good weather.
Now suppose you could do the same thing both night and day with energy from that same source, and it made no difference if it was clear or raining. Then it would be practical, and a boon to all of us. Look how much heat the sun radiates daily to the earth like a chicken on a spit. So much of it going to waste, when we should be using it for power.
Do you think this would be worth the lose of some profit to some for the benefits it would provide down the road for all? I certainly do, and I can hear millions of others who are screaming YES ! But as long as BIG MONEY, and GREED rules you will never see it happen.
The money for alternative fuels should be spent on research to prefect a power source such as this. But we should not allow this to be come controlled by any large corporation or the government. For if we do, they will in the name of profit:
(1) Lie about the cost of production, so only the rich or maybe the middle class will be able to afford it, and the little people in this country will never see free anything.
(2) Mess it up on purpose so it wont last and have to be replaced more often.
Change is coming, but only if we make it happen. I don't believe that anything is impossible. Today this country leads and the rest of the world follows. There has been more change in the last century, then in the last two thousand years. With a plentiful free Electric supply, we would see The Golden Age of Man.
