This is a memoir, but it is also a journal that Sandy Sims has written to share his creative and enlightening journey. It also includes an interesting architectural project for fan of Frank Lloyd Wright and his design work. This interview will give you some background information about Sandy Sims and these books. There is the main book and a creative thinking workbook - to help you exercise your creative thinking skills.

Nikki Leigh - Where you are from and where are you now?

Sandy Sims - I was born in Seattle and spent early childhood in Los Angeles, moved to Florida and grew up in Tallahassee. I attended college in the South and made my way to Hawaii after the military and graduate school. Their I had a career in advertising. Presently I am residing in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, a cultural art center.

Nikki Leigh - How did you get started writing?

Sandy Sims - I had spent a career writing proposals in the ad business. An urge to simply write a memoir as a cathartic exercise ensued. A series of people showed up in the spirt of the story itself and I went on to write a guidebook too.

Nikki Leigh - What do you do when you are not writing?

Sandy Sims - I can't remember the source of the input, but it said that when one reaches a certain stage in life, there is the opportunity to stay with the familiar and comfortable (nothing wrong with that) or chuck it all and go for a whole new set of experiences. Live in a foreign country embracing a whole new culture, learn a new language, take up a sport you have never played. In short give yourself a whole new set of challenges, but make them stimulating and not stressful. For me now it is playing tennis, writing a blog, marketing on the internet, learning Spanish, traveling and letting life unfold.

Nikki Leigh - What would readers like to know about you?

Sandy Sims - I am writing about learning to let my intuition be a guide and letting life unfold. It is exciting, but can be challenging. Getting outside of my comfort zone has always been my personal assignment. I have my moments. I love the world of ideas, consciousness exploration, and with my moon in Taurus must admit the world of comfort and pleasure has it's merits.

Nikki Leigh - What are the titles of your books and what genres are they?

Sandy Sims - "How Frank Lloyd Wright Got Into My Head Under My Skin And Changed The Way I Think About Thinking: A Creative Thinking Blueprint For The 21at Century."

"Creative Thinking For The 21st Century, An Experiential Guidebook."

Nikki Leigh - Why are you specially qualified to write about this topic?

Sandy Sims - Because it is basically a report of how I tried out relatively newer thinking patterns and reported on how they worked.

Nikki Leigh - How do you manage to keep yourself focused and on track when you´re writing a book?

Sandy Sims - I might not be the best example. I had several periods of months where I wrote nothing. But as I got closer to seeing what the outcome of what I had to say, I seemed to find more energy to complete the task.

Nikki Leigh - Do you write to make money, for the love of writing or both?

Sandy Sims - I must say that for some reason I have felt drawn to simply write and get it out there somehow knowing that what is supposed to come from the effort in the way of financial benefits will. It may not come from the books at all.

Nikki Leigh - What are some unique methods of marketing you have used? Which were the most successful?

Sandy Sims - I have come from a marketing background as a career in advertising. But, the book marketing is entirely new territory. I felt I might have spent countless hours trying to find an agent and publisher in the traditional sense when digital printing and self-publishing are emerging. So I have elected to learn by doing and embrace the self-publishing route with the help of knowledgeable people. It is a bit like painting by the numbers and there are a lot of false starts. But it is fun. I have been writing a blog as a first step to give potential readers a sense of who I am and why they should read what I have to say. The title to the book was created as a result of using research via ad words experts. I attended Randy Gilbert's workshop on self-publishing. Presently the blog tour with you is the next piece of the unfolding puzzle. it is too early to tell what is successful except the process has been fun and I have energy for it. Perhaps that is all that matters.

Nikki Leigh - What makes this book special to you?

Sandy Sims - It is a report of my own journey. I feel the things I learned could certainly benefit a wide range of people especially younger people wrestling with early life decisions.

Nikki Leigh - What makes this a book that other people MUST read and WHY?

Sandy Sims - As I point out, I feel we have to learn how to rely on other ways to think and manifest in the rapidly changing world. I feel that people that report on how this process is working for them are well worth reading.

Nikki Leigh - What people NEED to read this book and WHY?

Sandy Sims - The younger generation facing a rapidly changing environment and looking for useful guidelines.

People undergoing major life changes in their lives and looking for techniques to help themselves.

Older people who have the luxury of time and money, who can experiment with little or no downside should read my books.

Nikki Leigh - What sparks your creativity? Any tips to help others spark their own creativity?

Sandy Sims - Live your life in as much of a question as possible. That opens the channels and makes new ideas possible. I write about invisible partners. Questions seem to be an ongoing order they will constantly fulfill.

Nikki Leigh - Tell me about the most unusual things you have done to promote any books?

Sandy Sims - I internally put out there that I needed help and guidance to sell my books. The people who have shown up in my life are the answers. We will see how it all unfolds.

Nikki Leigh - Why does the topic of your book interest you? Why would it interest potential readers? Give us a hook to reel in new readers.

Sandy Sims - Because it is a way to look at turning ordinary life experiences into extraordinary life

Nikki Leigh -. Did I miss anything you want to tell my blog readers?

Sandy Sims - I wished I had discovered the topic I wrote about when I was twelve and could have started practicing then instead of when I was in my early thirties.
