Man Arrested For Rocking Out To John Denver

"In Fond du Lac, Wis., a man was cited by police for 'rocking out' too loudly - to the music of John Denver, the late folk-rocker.

A cop who responded to a noise complaint said he could hear the music through the door and that the man couldn't hear when he pounded on his door.

Asked why he had the music so loud, the 42-year-old man told police he was 'rocking out.'"

John Denver is a staple in radio stations that have a "soft rock" format, indeed the late folk rocker is the epitome of laid-back rock.

I can understand someone rocking out to Led Zeppelin or AC/DC, but it's just wrong to rock out to the bespectacled crooner.

Whenever I hear Denver on the radio (not bloody often), I feel like smoking a joint and blowing bubbles, the fey singer certainly doesn't inspire me to "rock out."

It should be a felony to play John Denver at full blast, I hope the John Denver-loving lawbreaker spends at least a few months behind bars.
