Gentle readers within this American Chronicle, Barbara Boxer has an impressive list of government provisions created on behalf of the people of California. To keep her working and doing good deeds, Barbara needs your support.

By now you probably know that Carly Fiorina formally declared her candidacy for Barbara Boxer's seat in the U.S. Senate on Wednesday.
I've been around politics for awhile now, and I can tell you, this was one of the most relentlessly negative campaign kick-offs I've seen. Instead of focusing on her own record and vision for the future, Fiorina launched a brutal attack on Senator Boxer.
It's clear: Carly Fiorina is going to throw everything she's got at Barbara, starting right now, and we need to show her that we're ready for this fight.
Stand up for Barbara Boxer, today.
Can you believe that Fiorina called Barbara Boxer "Senator What's Her Name" and belittled her record of accomplishment?
We know that Fiorina hasn't paid attention to government, since she's rarely voted in the past, but even she should have known about some of Barbara's 1,000 provisions that have been adopted and are now law.
Fiorina said she is not afraid of Senator Barbara Boxer. She shouldn't be. But she shouldn't run away from the truth.
And the truth is that our Senator has been fighting and winning for California families for decades.
You and I know Barbara Boxer. That's why we proudly stand with her. Now let's show Carly Fiorina how much we support Barbara.
Carly Fiorina may not know Barbara Boxer, but the people of California do. After all, they chose to send her back to the Senate in 2004 with 6.9 million votes — the highest total for any Senate candidate in history — because they know that Barbara Boxer has delivered to improve the lives of all Californians.
Barbara Boxer won the first federal funding for after-school programs to give our kids a safe and educational place to go.
Barbara Boxer passed a law with tougher drinking water standards to protect our families.
Barbara Boxer successfully pushed for provisions in the economic stimulus bill adding community police and economic development funds for job creation and small businesses.
I could go on — and of course we will be telling the positive story of the Boxer record of accomplishment as the campaign continues.
But right now, here's the message we have to send to Carly Fiorina, Chuck DeVore, and the right-wing special interests:
Our grassroots community stands united behind Barbara Boxer — and we're going to do everything it takes to re-elect her to the U.S. Senate in 2010.
