The capital city of Indianapolis offers a diverse mix of culture, arts, sports, and the Midwest charm that keeps you coming back. With such a exciting selection of attractions and events to enjoy you're certain to have a memorable time in Indy. Here are some of our favorite events and attractions to enjoy when you visit:

Along with a exciting trip in an air balloon, families will enjoy Conner Prairie's living history exhibits as they take you back in time to experience the life of early pioneers. In the Fall, one of their popular events is when the infamous Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow awakens. Ghoulish ghost stories around the campfire, live music, s´mores, barn dancing, and Halloween crafts and frightfully fun entertainment are all part of this great family outing at Conner Prairie. Yet, there's so much more to enjoy throughout the holidays as well. This is when Conner Prairie comes together to celebrate the season with carols and more. To learn more about upcoming events and plan your visit go to www.connerprairie.org.

The Indiana Medical History Museum is an interesting place to learn more about the history of medicine and join fun events. In they Fall, kids can pre-register for the Annual Wizard´s Academy, when they will learn about science by exploring principles of physics, chemistry and electricity. This is just one of the exciting events held at the Indiana Medical History Museum, and you can learn more the full schedule ahead by visiting www.imhm.org.

Indy has amazing art and artists, and among our favorite place to visit anytime of the year is the Indianapolis Museum of Art! Exhibits change and the annual events are inspirational at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. This year the IMA is showing the horror film "Nosferatu" at the Toby at the IMA for Halloween. The renovation of Tobias Theater was made possible by a generous gift from Randall and Marianne Tobias. Other significant donors to the renovation include Randy Deer, Michelle Griffith, Ann Stack and Charlie Sutphin. The Screen Zenith film series features award-winning films from festivals across the globe, including Rooster´s Breakfast (2007), a Slovenian film that hovers between comedy, thriller and romance, screening November 19. On Friday, November 20 at 7 p.m. catch Theological Follies: Two Films by Luis Buñuel will explore identity through spirituality in the films of Spanish director Luis Buñuel, perhaps best-known for his Surrealist explorations with artist Salvador Dalí. Check out the IMA's website at www.imamuseum.org for the current exhibit and film schedules.

Another art gem in Indy is the Indianapolis Art Center that hosted a Masks and Margaritas celebration for adults early in October 2. And, on November 1, the Indianapolis Art Center celebrate the Día de los Muertos holiday with food, entertainment, and activities for the whole family. Like the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Indianapolis Art Center is a great place for hands-on activities, and to join special events and exhibits! Visit the Indianapolis Art Center's website for current events and exhibits at www.IndplsArtCenter.org.
