Noynoy in CIC on Oct. 29-30

Senator Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III will be visiting Iligan and Cagayan de Oro cities on October 29-30, 2009.
Aquino´s group which is expected to include former Rep. Butch Abad, Liberal Party president, Akbayan Party List Rep. Rizza Hontiveros and former social welfare secretary Dinky Soliman will arrive on October 29 and proceed to Iligan City where a number of local government officials will be inducted into the LP.
The CDO for NoyMar group has scheduled a noise barrage at Plaza Divisoria late afternoon while Aquino and party would be doing a media tour of the city. All interested parties are invited to join the noise barrage to welcome the NoyMar team to Northern Mindanao.
On Friday, the party will guest in ABS-CBN´s morning show "Pamahaw Especial" to be followed at 10AM by "Conversations with Senator Noynoy Aquino", a forum with multi-sectoral groups at the Student Training Center (STC) Lobby of Xavier University (Ateneo de Cagayan).
"If you still believe that there is still hope in this country, this forum is for you," said Nestor Banuag, Jr. of CPM-CDO. "This is not a political campaign for the candidates' own consumption. Rather, a commitment and an opportunity to share vital information about your possible candidates in 2010 elections. Sit down, listen and share."
The forum will include a brief message from Aquino on the political future of the country, and feedback from the host Multi-Sectoral Groups for Ninoy and Mar in 2010. The highlight of the Conversation will be the reading and signing of a Manifesto of Support for NoyMar in 2010 led by the Change Politics Movement in CDO.
"We enjoin everyone who joins us in this forum to wear a yellow shirt to honor our beloved late President Cory Aquino and as a symbol of our commitment to continue the good fight she and Ninoy started through her son Noynoy and his friend Mar," former city councilor Roy Raagas said. "You may also show your support for Noynoy and Mar by tying a yellow ribbon in your house or in your vehicle."
Raagas said the organizers are also encouraging the people to bring along a can to be used as a piggy bank or "lugi" for the Piso for Noynoy(PiNoy) fund raising campaign which will be launched in Cagayan de Oro during the forum.
"We were touched by the gesture of scavengers in Payatas who contributed P1 to the drive," said former Bukidnon Rep. Nereus Acosta in a press conference held earlier in Cagayan de Oro. "All they told us is that it would be their taya or bet on the Ninoy-Mar tandem and all they´re asking for is for the duo to lift them out of their misery should they win the presidency."
Acosta also recalled the gesture of a taxi driver who came all the way to the PiNoy headquarters in Quezon City who said: "Huwag niyong pagtawanan ang P20 na ito. Ito ay pinaghirapan ko. Bilang kapalit, gusto ko lang sana sabihin sa inyo n asana kung manalo kayo pag-ayusin niyo ang takbo n gating gobyerno."
"Invite your friends, invite your families, invite your neighbors and spread the word through your cellphones, email and any way you can," Raagas said. "Let us show to one and all we are serious about joining the fight to make the Philippines a country we can be proud of!"
