3D Modern Wedding Invitations Are All the Rage

Imagine that you walk down to your mailbox and receive a wedding invitation from a friend. Are you picturing a small flat envelope with a traditional invitation tucked neatly inside? Another example would be a wedding invitation that has overlapping layers to it which allow you to turn pages or stand it up to view it. Nothing specifically pops out on these invitations but they´re more complex than your normal invitations and are definitely trendy in the bridal market today.

The effect of these three-dimensional changes to the normal wedding invitation is that the invitations end up looking a lot more homemade than they did in the past. Adding objects and personal touches to the invitations gives a handmade feel to the wedding stationery. With the scrap booking trend, handmade is really popular these days with people from all income levels. Some brides actually do attach the 3D objects to the wedding invitations themselves to make it a partial-DIY invitation that has a little bit of their own sweat built into it. However, even those wedding invitations which are entirely commercially-made give off an air of do-it-yourself flavor when they are embellished and added to with 3D elements.

Modern brides typically want to choose wedding ideas that are trendy and will be appealing to their guests. However, they also want a wedding that is customized to match their own personal style. Today´s trends in modern wedding invitations really speak to both of these desires and make it so that they don´t have to conflict with one another. The three dimensional invitation is stylish and popular but has the potential to feel more homemade and personalized than standard wedding invitations. This satisfies the need of the bride to be fashionable without copying what other women are doing at their weddings. It´s clear why these types of invitations have become so trendy.
