Leland Yee Endorses Nadia Holober for Millbrae City Council

State Senator Leland Yee has announced that he is supporting Nadia Holober for Millbrae City Council. In his announcement endorsing Holober, Senator Yee highlighted Nadia Holober´s experience and commitment to improving Millbrae´s local economy:

"I am endorsing Nadia Holober´s candidacy for Millbrae City Council because she is a proven, dedicated leader who will work to develop economic opportunity for the citizens and businesses of Millbrae. She understands that a reliable revenue base for Millbrae depends upon promoting existing businesses and attracting new businesses that Millbrae residents need and want."

Senator Yee, a strong advocate for the Peninsula´s small businesses in Sacramento, concluded "I look forward to working with Nadia in efforts to improve the local economy."

Nadia Holober adds Senator Yee´s endorsement to her long list of endorsements for Millbrae City Council. She is the only candidate to have earned the endorsements of Congresswoman Jackie Speier and the Sierra Club. She also has the endorsements of San Mateo County Labor Council, Millbrae Firefighters and hundreds of Millbrae residents.

Nadia Holober previously served two terms on the Millbrae City Council and Mayor in 2003-2004. During her tenure, Nadia Holober represented the City on several regional committees. She chaired the County´s Library Joint Powers Authority, the San Mateo County Council of Cities and the Northern San Mateo County Council of Cities. She was elected by the Cities of San Mateo County to the Local Agency Formation Commission, which she chaired in 2006, and the Bay Area Association of Governments Executive Board. She was appointed to the League of Cities Environmental Quality Policy Committee as the representative of San Mateo County Cities.

A licensed attorney, Nadia Holober is married and has raised her two sons in Millbrae´s public schools.
