Seasons Of Discontent

Tim Williams
From 2007 thru 2009 every country around the globe has faced extreme financial and economic calamity. Most of which was brought on by the United States Financial and Banking Industries. What this industry did in their greed and lust for quick and easy profit was a blatant disregard of prudent fiscal policies that for years was the benchmark of how they gained the respect and trust of the citizens that supported them. Compound to this fiscal disaster the government of the United States continues to misrepresent themselves in that they no longer uphold their constituents best interests. When it takes millions of dollars to get elected and millions more to stay elected no longer are they serving the people who vote for them but rather those who contribute the most money to their coffers. A case in point is the health care debate going on in congress today most of the debate is controlled by the Insurance industry while they continue to pump millions of dollars into each member of congress campaign funds.

With so much dicention coming out of Washington the American Citizen has been alienated by our own elected officials. What was once a priority [ our welfare ] has been replaced and uprooted by what is necessary for those in office to stay in office. When members of congress blatantly disregard, ignore, and even discredit constituents concerns, suggestions, and ideas on how to improve everyone's situation no longer are we governed by the Democratic process. The government of the United States was founded not by greed, thrust for power, or control of citizens rights, but by freedom.

As far back as the early 1970's to today the major agricultural industries from all the major industrialized countries have undermined the food sources in that the techniques used during this time have depleted the vary nutrients of the crops that are harvested. No longer are the valuable sources of nutrition, which are essential for the health of every human being being, absorbed by the food that is grown. Thru the lure of the quick profit have made the sources of the basic food supply so depleted of all that is essential for the health and well being of all are being denied because of the way the food is planted and harvested. What has been created because of this is a world wide food crisis.

The continuing escalation of the violence in countries of Central America and Mexico because of the drug cartels have been spilling over into the United States now for years, and it is getting worse every day. This is primarily because of the lack of living wage job opportunities in every country affected, the lack of a strong central government in the countries of Central America, and the lack of educational offerings for everyone. Until every country unites behind a comprehensive plan of action to increase living wage job opportunities, expand educational offerings and really step up to the plate to eliminate the horrific violence that continues to undermine the stability and security of every nation we will all continue to languish in a cycle of economic decay, and the future of each nation is in imminent danger.

Since the fall of 2001 the entire world has been trust into a sinister plot of terrorism that continues to escalate causing nations to succumb to their fear and threats. So far the United States has failed to rally every nation that only a total united effort will root out these terrorists cells that continue to wreck undue suffering and violence all over the world. Remember General Douglas McAuthur saying "you cannot fight a limited war; only total victory will and must be achieved." Until each nation really makes a concentrated effort to unite together to eliminate these terrorist cells and organizations they will continue their destructive path of rendering catastrophic damage to every nation.

Because of the massive amounts of pollution that is being not properly disposed of and the growing number of fossil fuels that continue to increase have made this planet almost inhabitable which has caused a global water shortage in almost every country. The United States is just starting to realize how much damage has already been done to this planet and is now doing major improvements. Every industrial nation has to improve how to reduce fossil fuel consumption and increase fresh water transfer to areas where the need is greatest. This will help reduce the suffering of nations whose health and stability are threatened.

Until every nation addresses these issues and makes a real sincere effort to solve these major obstacles that continue to thwart every nations stability and security the future of this planet and all humanity will continue to wallow in anguish, despair, and depravation.
