Freedom Salute To Recognize National Guard Troops For Service In Afghanistan And Egypt

More than 40 Pennsylvania Army National Guard soldiers from 228th Brigade Support Battalion, Company B; Headquarters Company 55th Brigade Combat Team; and Headquarters Company, Brigade Special Troops Battalion, Company A and B, will be recognized at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23, during a Freedom Salute ceremony at the Watres Armory, 900 Adams Ave., Scranton.

The soldiers served in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and in Egypt on a Multinational Force and Observers mission. The ceremony recognizes soldiers for their service, as well as family members and employers for their support.
