Tinnitus Cure That Gets Proven Results

Mike Walden
Providing an effective cure for tinnitus has proven to be a tricky task for the experts of the medical world, even though over 40 million people in the US suffer from either subjective or objective tinnitus. Adding to the woes of the problem is the fact that one out of every four chronic tinnitus patients think that the problem takes away many of the normal features of the human life. There are several treatment procedures that are commonly followed to treat tinnitus problems. It has been seen that, the most effective of such methods are the ones that: i). adopt holistic measures to prescribe medications for the problem, and ii). take into account all the aspects of the problem, so that an effective cure can be obtained.

Tinnitus Cure: Which Is The Best Way?

To get a cure from this problematic medical condition, holistic remedies are considered to be ideal. These measures cover all aspects of the problem while prescribing the required treatment methods. These remedies focus on achieving the perfect metabolic balance in the body structure of the patients, by a complete overhaul of their lifestyle patterns. Tinnitus is, by nature, extremely damaging, can rob patients of their entire vitality and life-force. The holistic methods can reinforce the internal bodily strength, so that the problem can be effectively fought with. At the very outset, these methods of treatment prohibits the consumption of all types of alcoholic beverages, as well as all forms of food derived from meat, including bacon, sausages and ham. Such food products have no place in the newly revised diet charts of patients. Other types of processed food items, as also coffee and tea, are not to be consumed. Instead, energy for living should be derived from vegetables and fruits only. Fruit juices that do not contain preservatives and added ingredients need to be consumed. Cereals, yogurt, whole grain bread and organic food items are also recommended. These food products produce the beneficial stomach bacilli, which helps to keep the intestine clean and healthy.

Tinnitus problems cause acute distress. For a lasting solution to these diseases, most medical practitioners now recommend the holistic methods of treatment. The practices of yoga or deep breathing exercises regularly are also advised by the doctors worldwide.

There are several causes of tinnitus and they all have to be dealt with effectively. Individuals have to find out (by testing), which food products prevent or augment the problems, and the extent to which they can affect. Then, they have to remove such food items from their diets. The daily habits of life related to everyday use need to be treated individually in the same way as well, keeping the symptoms of the disease in view. Quite some time may be needed to achieve the perfect dietary and lifestyle balance. But once it is attained, the person can hope for a swift recovery.

Many patients also suffer from certain extra-auditory problems, which add to the seriousness of tinnitus. These extra-auditory factors include hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, hypothyroidism and diabetes. Allergies to certain foods or drinks, migraine tendencies and a deficiency of zinc and/or vitamin B12 can also compound the problem further. All these factors have to be kept within the purview of the selected method of treatment.

The Traditional Way To Tinnitus Cure

A large number of tinnitus patients often select the conventional methods of treating tinnitus. These methods tend to treat, not the causes, but only the symptoms of the tinnitus problems. The following list provides a basic guide to the different conventional treatment methods:

Medicines available over-the-counter,

Tinnitus mask equipments,

Different techniques of relaxation,

Medicines with herbs as their chief ingredients,

Homeopathic treatment methods, and

Home-made remedial measures.

Several types of sedatives and anti-depression medicines are available as over the counter drugs. Most of them come with side effects, which vary in their intensities. The most common side effects of these OTC medicines are headaches, dizzy feelings, irregular bowel patterns, constipation, and a loss of mental alertness. The last-named, in fact, makes driving vehicles unadvisable. However, the continuous ringing noises associated with tinnitus can really be disturbing for the patients, who often have no other option than to adopt these medications, which are, in any case, rather unreliable for obtaining the desired results.

Alternative resonance techniques are also often applied by the medical experts, to mask the disturbances caused by the tinnitus-related noises with other forms of sounds. These alternative sound effects are also known as ´white noises´. The sound of waterfalls on a Jacuzzi of a jet plane flying at high levels of altitude (which can capture the patients´ attention), the melody-filled sounds of a water body – all serve as effective ´white noise´ items. These sounds are generally used as pre-recorded disc formats. These sounds do not provide any curative measures from tinnitus. Even so, they can provide welcome relief and distraction to the patients.

There are several techniques of relaxation too, that the tinnitus patients need to learn and practice. Then there are suitable relieving exercises as well. The key in such relaxation techniques is being patient for long periods of time, so that the effects of the continuous ringing sounds get reduced. However, these methods do not do away with the problem in itself.

If all other conventional methods of treatment fail to deliver desirable results, patients often turn to homeopathic medications. While these methods can be relied upon in most cases, when dealing with tinnitus problems, homeopathy tends to treat only the symptoms of the problem. The root causes of the disease are generally not eliminated.

Tinnitus Cure: The Most Effective Method

While there are many conventional medications, herbal products and home-made methods to combat tinnitus, none of them can provide a lasting solution. There are several causes which combine to bring about the problem and all of them have to be detected and got rid off. Only the symptoms of tinnitus are treated by the conventional methods and so, chances of the disease relapsing remains, and this is because, the problem-creating factors stay back in the body. Hence, more and more people are now turning towards holistic treatments. These methods consider the entire body as a single unit, and then identify the main causes of the problem. For eliminating them, holistic approaches suggest medications, herbal products, balanced diet regimes and lifestyle changes too. Over time, these holistic treatments have been found to be, much more effective in curing tinnitus.
