3 Ways You Can Achieve High Open Rates When Email Marketing
Firstly you should make sure that you are providing good quality content within the actual email messages. In other words rather than bombarding your subscribers with endless promotional offers, you also want to keep them informed and educated with lots of interesting content.
After all your subscribers didn't join your list just to be flooded with sales messages. So give them what they want. Put yourself in the shoes of your subscribers and think about the kind of information that you would like to receive yourself. If you do this, then you will build up trust and your subscribers will actually look forward to receiving your emails, which of course results in much higher open rates.
Secondly you should also try and schedule your emails to go out at roughly the same time of the day each time, and ideally on the same days of the week (but try and avoid weekends). That way your subscribers get into a routine and will expect to hear from you at certain times of the week, which again will result in higher open rates.
Finally before you send out an email message you should always spend some time creating a compelling subject line. This is arguably the most important point because it could easily be the difference between a 5% open rate and a 50% open rate.
You want to make this subject line as interesting as possible so people will find it hard not to open your emails. It should not only convey what the email message is about, but it should intrigue people to open your email to find out more.
Very few email marketers achieve open rates in the region of 40-50%, but if you follow these three simple rules, then you are giving yourself every chance of achieving such high open rates.
