FOLK LIFE- GLOBAL COMMUNITY-NEW MEDIA

Theresa J. Thurmond Morris
Folk life, global community, new media is all happening at the same time while information is being thrown at us so fast we are not sure what is important anymore.

Some people use to believe that folk life means folk music or folklore or folk tales. Self actualization is part of folk life in a big way. No normal common folks and there will be no keylonics and folk circles. Not too many of the elite and rich and famous want to visit crop circles these days although Prince Phillip and Princess Diana was going to take a look. News got out and then the elite could not peruse with the common.

Not anymore. Watch how the media has changed and marketing and advertising. Who are they wanting to appeal to as the mass consumers? The common folk which is basically all people. This includes the every day casual wear to the designer couture worn by the First Lady of the United States. Folk life will soon have it's own designer label. I plan on making a new TJ Morris tm Folk Life label if I live long enough to add to my common folk jewelry line. I am looking for the best price points. Yvanna Trump and Joan Rivers both have their own jewelry line. They do not know me or that I was doing infomercials with Wyland before there were jewelry channels on television. One little item of old folklife is that I was the one who suggested Joan and Melissa Rivers to the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce to present the Fashion Designer clothes on a red carpet and have Melissa and Joan be there to speak about the clothes on the stars for the awards. It's a long story but one that my publicist had to present because I couldn't make the meeting that she had scheduled for me. I was flying back to Hawaii.

This was something dealing with my involvement in fashion and as a psychic as the Psychic Network and Jungle Beach were kicking off in 1992 and 1993. Those were fun days but life is all about what we are doing now and creating now. It's all about today! But, we still want to compare our lives to the past so we do not make the same mistakes in the future. That is what makes keeping up with fashion trends so much fun. Everything in popularity seems to come in cycles every twenty years. Ever notice how we tend to have occurring time lines. There are many that are orchestrated that John Q. Public never thinks about. Folk life and Community News in the New Media will be able to share some fun time lines and exposures about our history and folklife in fashion and photos that are to be upgraded to cd's and videos we can view on You Tube. Google is now owning many things such as blogger and You Tube. Maybe we need to buy more stock in Google, Amazon, and other up and coming Internet Highway companies. The .com generation was too early as far as selling products on the Internet. It is now a common way to think. Companies are actually gearing sells through shopping carts on the Internet now. That is also part of the Folklife in the Global Community and New media.

I can not include the music here or the folklore all in one article but I can include a folk story and a short folk biography. Folk Life now has it's own media too. We have folklife media. The Internet Highway is the perfect example of the New Folk Media.

Folklife is more than Pete Seeger and his folk music and tales. Pete Seeger was born 1919 and an American Folk Singer who helped revive folk music in the 1950's and 1960's.

Folklife hopes to revive the interest not only in folk music, folklore, folk stories, folk facts, history of the past but in others who are called folks of the future. Does it matter what religion, or color we are? Some people still think so but, many are not as judgmental as they use to be in the twentieth century.

Many people are pushing for a whole new order of organized chaos on earth. This may be part of the new folk life way of doing things. Maybe we really are from space and the general majority that believed in God was right to believe in Extra-terrestrials after all. We got to a point where we either believed in Divine Order or one man's theory that seemed to be accepted as a teaching to children in school called Darwinism. It was an ism and any ism is usually just folklore. There is much to be said for education in schools but it is time to change the basics of the Three r's to those that children can relate to on the Internet in school. We do not usually have to know a lot of physics or math to make it in life unless we are going for a certain profession in medicine or engineering. Scientist need some math if one is going to be a physics major. A good relation with algorithms is probably just as good for a math foundation when it comes to the future in computers. These are basic folk life decisions we need to make based n the past and the future combined. We learn from our past mistakes.

What good is it going to school if we are not going to use what we are taught afterwards? This is what some children approaching the age of sixteen are saying these days. They had rather play games on the internet and talk on their cell phones. This is a form of media folk life.

Folklife is about all people, all cultures, all history, and all religions. Folk are the common people of a region or nation. Folk are the people in general according to the American Heritage College Dictionary. There is folklore and folketymology. There is folk tales, folk rock, folk magic, folk singers, folk songs and just about anything you can imagine. There are even folk religions. Many of today's religions that are of the old country meaning Europe for Americans if considered folk religions along with folk cultures. In America, there is even folk Indian tales of the original and traditional ways of the many tribes of American Indians of dark skin but once called red skins in folk tales. Folksy means unpretentious in behavior. Folks that are genuine and closer to their tenure and agora reasons.

There is even a folklife media being created on the Internet now on a daily basis. It is the news being entered by all the common folk with news, views, chat, blogs, and all the many stories that are being recorded in electronic form to be kept and archived for prosperity by those who are paid to collect and archive such mediums of the Internet.

Some people have no idea how important the New Internet Highway actually is for new information and presenting folks as those who are sharing their folk lives.

There are those who ask me all the time what I do as a writer and folklorist. I explain to them that I am actually an Investigative Reporter with causes aind interests as an advocate of American Culture International Relations and in ACE FOLKLIFE. Pete Seeger is actually in the American Heritage College Dictionary. Niche markets are a part of the Niche FOLKLIFE New Media interests. I am about now and today which includes our past and history of the ancient civilizations.

Folklife media is about all of the past, present, and future stories of the common folks and their causes, interests, beliefs, art, culture, education, and even new future technologies and science. We are not just Anthropologists, and Ph.d.s of Science but of Folklife. We are about what people share in religions and cultural traditions about space. We are about life in general of the common folk. Folks is a term for the common people.

We are now about the ascension or raising of consciousness of folk people and their folk lives. Some people misunderstand words and the work we do and create on this planet. Folk life is about including all beings no earth and not just the elite class. This was certainly apparent on the show called the Celebrity Apprentice. What does a television show have to do with the bare facts about folklife? Read my story here and see if there are parts that can describe something you may have thought about or knew about. Folklife is about now and what we create. Folklife is about living life and recording the history about life ones life and those that are known in the common every day walks of life. Common people who work everyday for a living and those who are stay at home Moms, and Pops are what folklife is about. Those who watch televisions shows to escape the turmoils of everyday life and play games on the Internet with their friends are all part of folklife and the new media that is created by folk. If it were not for folklife the Internet would have no readers, no members signing ujp for free on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, and other Internet Highway surfers, and customers. We are the daily folks that tune in to life not only on the Internet but real life. We are not only the participants in every day life but the viewers as well. We are the ones who make a difference in life. We are the critical mass consciousness around the world. We are those who make up the everyone, in everything, in everytime, around the cultural work and world in which we live. We are those that are not the elite class. The only ones that choose to be excluded from folklife are those who voice their opinions in status that they outclass the common folk. This is done on earth by the rich and famous.

A Patriot Christian hunter was all in outraged about the way that world was changing. He told his wife that the world was full of nothing but low lives. That kids today had no idea what life was about. That kids in America were not learning how to read, write, or do arithmetic the way that is was taught when he was a kid in school. He had become a Christian believer and preacher the same way his daddy had and his father before him.

Life was almost not worth praying over. However, being a good Christian person he decided to take a break from worry and the turmoils of life and go hunting.

Patriot Christian we will call Pat Preacher grabbed his rifle kissed his wife and said he needed some time in the woods to contemplate life and what his next week´s Sunday sermon would be about. Therefore, Pat Preacher went off hunting in the woods.

Now as most preachers in America are as different as the rainbow spectrum in colors, one of the concerns Pat Preacher had was really on his mind. How could he get his point across to his followers, guests, congregation, and board members about the fact that he was not like all other preachers. He was different.

He did not necessarily believe as he was brought up in the Southern Baptist Ministry. His father had been a Baptist preacher and his father before him. The Protestants were known for being rather strict with their beliefs. The Catholics were considered Christians and even some Jews were called Messianic Jews and were considered Christians. Life about Christians on earth was getting complicated.

People did not really understand how many sects in the Christian religion there were on earth. The Latter Day Saints were also called Christians because they believed in Jesus Christ. Nevertheless, most Christians that he knew did not believe they were Christians and considered them more on the lines of a cult following. However, their church had grown so fast in the world that they were becoming very rich and well known with their temples all over the world. This religion had begun in America so it must be Christian too. How did the whole world get into his thoughts now?

He had lived through 2000 being born in 1947 and was now having to live through not only all the separate churches way of thinking but now there were actual Christians who wanted to approve gay marriages as a civil union in the legal system. Heaven help us he thought if he was asked to perform a gay marriage by some of his board members kids. After all, he new that our own Vice President of the United States, Dick Chaney´s daughter was a lesbian. There were all these people all over the world that seemed to be saying it was okay to believe like Muslims and those who believe in the Quran and not the Bible were not only living in America but had a Mosque just down the road in a bigger city than the one he preached at in his small Pennsylvania town.

While Pat Preacher was walking alone in the woods pondering all these deep thought about how to get his point across to folks that life wasn´t just about one way of believing or thinking but that there were many ways to think and believe and that the Bible was written by prophets who he felt was in his mind guided and that King James of England was the one that he preached to the congregation to use and not the new world Bible, he felt some hairs come up on the back of his neck.

Pat Preacher instinctively remembered that he was in the woods and this broke his deep thought about folks and life.

Pat Preacher looked around behind him and when he did, he saw this big old black bear eating berries over to the side of him not far from where he had been walking. He knew the bear had not been listening to his thoughts or he would have heard the footsteps of him walking along side and had passed him. Pat Preacher realized that the wind was not a cross wind and was blowing from the front of him. Pat Preacher was not sure what to do and was thankful that he was walking down wind from the bear so he began to thank Jesus.

Pat Preacher said a prayer in his mind and thought to himself in a prayer, Jesus thank you for allowing me this life to ponder how to help folks. I have a favor to ask you and that is to let this bear be a Christian bear and said Amen.

Pat Preacher looked one more time over at the bear after his spiritual prayer to Jesus, saw the prayer down on his knees, and appeared to be praying.

The bear was a Christian Bear and was thanking Jesus for the wonderful meat meal he was about to receive for he was tired of eating just berries.

The moral of this story about bare facts of Folklife is that Folklife is simply about plain old folks and our cultures. American Culture is about Americans and International Life is about everyone.

The Global Community is about all folks in all countries. Folk life is about the common folk, the every day common folk who make up the majority of the world´s population.

There are many cultures on many continents in hemispheres of North, South, East and West on the planet we call Earth or Gaia.

Folklife is a part of Anthropology and there are courses and even degrees in Folklife. Being an Ontologist from the Old World prior to the Twenty-First Century I did not learn this until I moved to Kentucky. I learned about the courses offered at Western Kentucky University and realized that Folklife courses was much more in line with my life as an Ontologist and with my interest in metaphysics.

My interest was in American Culture International Relations and how we would be able to accept the Global Community Overall Folklife view.

There would have to be some changes here and there with all the scientific and technological advances. There are many of my colleagues that are like me and we live to share our writings and our ministry whether in words, music, art, culture, education, or just plain old Folklife where we visit with groups of friends, non-profit organizations and teach about how to assist the work and world´s economy by sharing in social and business entrepreneurships.

Most of the bare facts about good old Folklife have to do now more than ever with our beliefs and our cultures. There is one great thing about me becoming pregnant in April 1973 during the Nixon Watergate Scandal and the American Indian Movement. There was a political point of view to open my eyes and a cultural view to open my eyes.

I learned in 1973 that though I was an American woman who was pregnant with my fourth child that I wanted to help people learn about others in the world. I decided then to not only help Houston children learn how to dance and twirl a baton but to learn about life in general.

I had my fourth daughter and died in the process. This made me even more determined to learn about life and while I was learning to breathe and stay conscious while I was in intensive care, I decided then that I must learn more about life and why folks were common and were taught how to live and think about general thoughts. I wanted to know how we all got to be so in tune with each other and how we were taught to all go to school go to church, free ourselves decisions by working for a paycheck and I wanted to know how best to teach my children how to survive on earth.

I was born just a regular folk person to a regular folk life. This was something that I would learn about. I wanted to learn how to become a policeperson in law enforcement. I wanted to learn how to dance and teach for Arthur Murray. I wanted to learn how to raise my children and make sure they knew a good life and I knew that Christian life taught this to children.

I wanted to travel and see the world although I had no money to do so; I had no education and was not able to obtain one based on my level of income in life. I knew many people like me that were barefoot and pregnant. I had heard about hippies and women burning their bras and I was not a part of that life that I only saw on television.

I finally learned through trial and error, and life experiences that I really enjoyed being alive and that being born a White Anglo Saxon Protestant Folk was not a choice that I made that I knew of when I was born. This was simply the bare facts.

What I made of my life would be the bare facts of my Folklife. I did want to be a good person while on earth and before I died, I wanted to know how I could defend my self from being eaten by a bear no matter what symbolism that represented. I soon learned that there was a bear and bull way in the stock market that many people on earth used to decide how to invest in stock, funds, notes, and other instruments of currency.

I learned that life on earth had a need to be educated about money. I was always taught that money made the world go round. In 2008, I learned that it was not only those who I thought were in charge of the world in government, politics, and religion that ruled the world but that Banks did as well. This is when I learned that I was proud of my heritage of being a simple folk in America and that we folks could, all is voters who had a lot to say about the future. I made it my vow to learn all I can about the world and to network with others on the Internet Highway.

I have since learned that I can make friends around the world. I have learned that there are many folks who work just as I do during the day and can play games on the Internet and we can talk about life in general. We all are not Christians but we are all common folk. I learned that being born into a culture in a certain place at a certain time and being a certain age was not so important after all. I learned that I could make friends in spite of their age, beliefs, language barriers, and ideas of who I was because I was an American Woman. I soon learned that I was part of the American Culture International Relations in the Global Community and I was proud to be American. I know that common folks do not have to choose to be Democrat or Republican to be voters in America.

I saw Jesse James represent the common folks of Folklife who were the working class just like me down here in the trenches on The Celebrity Apprentice with Donald Trump. I saw him play a game with Joan Rivers, Melissa Rivers, Clint Black who I met in Houston and many other famous people. If Jesse could do this then I knew that common folk just like me could learn to make a difference in the world and this was the bare facts of the new media Folklife.

I learned that being a folk person on earth was about Ascension and the raising of awareness about life on earth and what will happen to us when we leave this earth. Life was for the living and living was about learning about life. I wanted to be an Ontologist and being at accepted as common folk was okay with me. After all, I live in a cedar cabin in the woods of Kentucky. I finally had gotten some education in life and had been a CEO of a corporation. I had learned to run Investigative Services and even worked for the government for few years. I wore a U.S. Navy uniform and was proud of my country, my government, my family, and my way of life. I learned the bare facts of being human and common on planet earth. I learned the bare facts of Folklife and that I was an Ontologist. I learned the bare facts of media Folklife and that all media about all interests and causes are important. I learned about TJ Morris Media World and what I wanted to create. I learned I wanted to be an author and an entrepreneur. I learned to love life on earth and to not have fear or hate for others. I learned that being what I was born were stereotypes just like there are Sonoma types. I learned that we are all important on earth as one ascension sentient intelligent beings species in spite of where we were born, how we live, how we believe, and how much of the world´s levels in monetary gain that we accomplish in one life time.

I had made myself into many people and been many positions in corporate world. I had been on television and even in a movie with Stephanie Powers called When will I be Loved while I had a showroom in Atlanta Apparel Mart where I had my own fashion line of clothes, shoes, and accessories. I even had made office accessories with cork from Spain and Portugal. I went and ordered the cork fabric myself. I New York I had developed a reputation in the Fashion Industry as the Cork Lady. I learned that the bare facts about Folklife and the media were made by each individual. We all have a story to tell. We are all our own authors of our own life´s destiny.

WE are all carving out a folk life in the global community and the new media. It's all good and there is more information coming. 2012 is not that far away. We should learn about crop circle keylonics soon as a story of folklife and how the ETs will train us.
