There is an old Motley Crue song, "Girls, Girls, Girls". Some might think that only rock stars and Hollywood types would have that particular opportunity, but so does Paul Walton, a millionaire-bachelor from San Diego, California who is looking for Miss Right. Thanks to all the parties heīs thrown from coast to coast heīs met lots of women and feels Miss Right is waiting around the corner, possibly in the next letter , phone call or e-mail.

Paul was first brought to light for many of the women heīs met by appearing on The Oprah Winfrey show. Most of the women in the audience went nuts for the easy going Paul. When he stated he was looking for Miss Right, someone who would help him spend his millions the women lined up.

Paul made his millions selling US Sprint as in independent salesman. He hired 400 people, mostly clean cut college kids to help him sell the long-distance telephone company. He was able to retire in 1986 and received his final check from the company in 1988.

My interview with Paul went as none other had gone before. We met at "The Rusty Pelican", along with his sister Ellie and his date Karen, who flew from Hollywood, Florida for a visit. We all ordered our meal and Paul wanted beans as a side order , beans were not an offered side order so Frank our waiter said he would run across the street if they didnīt have any.

Paul is a regular guy, still wears jeans from The Gap and eats at pizza hut. He found a long time ago that there is a lot more to life than work and money, although having lots of money represents freedom to do what you want, when you want. One week he may be in Denver, the next Tahiti. Paul laughs, "Iīm packed and ready to go, I have no possessions, sold my car, motorcycle, everything so I could travel". If he didnīt care about possessions, the burning question is, why tell women youīre a millionaire, why not find someone who loves you for YOU and not your money.

Who is Paul Walton? When asked that same question Paul responds, "Heīs an undiscovered gem. Heīs funny with a wonderful personality. Likes himself and can take charge when needed". As for telling people heīs a millionaire, well, Paul was telling people for eight years he was unemployed. He downplayed the fact he had money, one day he just decided, "Why not put my best foot forward. After eight years of being anonymous if feels good to be recognized".

Paul grew up in San Diego and graduated from SDSU with a degree in Public Administration. He even worked for the San Diego city council but got bored and went back to school to get his teaching degree. He taught high school for three years before trying his hand at his own business and says, "I just got lucky". He sees himself as a calculated risk taker, he wouldnīt go bungee jumping but loves to ski and play tennis but itīs hard to find a partner. He even ran for Govenor of California. His favorite foods are pretty easy, heīll try anything once, even monkey brains. He likes pizza and Thai foods best.

He wants to get married and have children, a boy and a girl-thatīs the reason for all this. He does believe in lust at first sight, saying, lust can turn into love. Miss Right doesnīt smoke, drink or do drugs or have children of her own. She must be flexible and ready to travel. Paul says, "About the hardest thing my wife would have to do is choose a maid".

He wants to write his autobiography saying this planet is just one big E ticket waiting to be explored. It might be a book that will turn out to be a good read.

And Frank, our waiter, he didnīt have to run across the street after all. Seems they had some beans left from the lunch menu. It must be nice to be a millionaire, or maybe it really was just a good restaurant.
