There are many satellite tv on pc reviews on the internet claiming you can watch free satellite tv on pc. Some of them will boast you can watch over 3000 satellite tv channels for free. So is it true?

I was interested of course if I can watch my favourite satellite tv channels on my PC without the need to pay monthly satellite cable charges. So I brought the Satellite TV For PC 2007 Elite Edition for $49.95 and been playing with it for about a month and here is my satellite tv on pc review.

Once you have made the payment, you are directed to a webpage to download a small piece of software. The installation is straight forward and simple. After which you click on the application and you can watch free satellite tv on your PC.

Well, it is true there are many satellite tv channels. I’m not sure if there are 3000 satellite tv channels as claimed by others since it is categorized by countries. So many satellite tv channels are actually in foreign languages such as French, Arabic, Spanish, malay and Chinese.

However, there are about 250 english language satellite tv channels, mainly from the US and UK but there are a few from countries such as Australia, Singapore etc.

The video and audio quality depends a lot on which satellite tv channel you are watching, I find some are grainy while others are fine. Satellite TV For PC 2007 Elite Edition also bundles another software called TVants.

It’s basically another application that lets you watch satellite tv channels. I like this one better as most channels are English and the video and sound quality are better. It’s categorized by channels and I find it easier to navigate.

So in conclusion, was it worth the 49 bucks? While it wasn’t quite what I expected, it does let me watch many satellite tv channels on my computer so I would have it was worth it and I will be cancelling my satellite cable subscription. Hope you enjoy this satellite tv on pc review.
